"How can emptiness be so heavy?"
I love it when you reach the climax of your exhaustion. One moment you’re completely focused and fully present, then the next your eyes glaze over and suddenly you’re lightheaded and your body sinks deep into the chair. Your body becomes dense but your head still feels light like its full of nothing but dream clouds. You could probably fall asleep right there at your computer. The light from your screen starts to make your eyes water from the contrast of your blacked out room. It takes every weary muscle in your body, but with a deep sleepy breath you close your laptop and lift yourself up onto those weak and tired legs. You shuffle your awkward little body over to your bed, hunching while you walk, ready to collapse. You’re not sure you’ll make it but before you can give up you’re already touching sheet. You fall into your blankets embracing your mattress. You yawn like Mufasa and surrender to your exhaustion.
